Meet Our Founder

Felicia Harmon Brown is a gospel mime and liturgical dancer who ministers both in the prophetic and choreographed routines while operating under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. She is a saved and humble servant of the Lord who has been dancing and choreographing since the age of 5.

Currently, Felicia is the Founder, President, and CEO of Born To Praise Ministries, Inc., a non profit organization which specializes in instructing and mentoring specific areas of worship arts. She is an active volunteer at Chicago’s Cook County Department of Corrections; ministering in mime and through testimony to the incarcerated. Additionally, Felicia is an instructor and mentor at-large to gospel mimes throughout the United States, and is an active member of Faith Movers Church, in Chicago Heights, IL where her spiritual leader and covering is Senior Pastor Moses B. Herring, Sr. She is also the lead servant over the FMC Mime and Praise Dance Ministries.

Some of her dance ministry’s highlights include:

• Gospel artist in The National Gospel Talent Search in Wichita, KS aired on the Gospel Word and BET Gospel networks.
• Participant mime in K & K Mime’s 2009 - 2011 Gospel Mime Worldwide Mime Conferences in Pittsburgh, PA hosted by Dr. Bobby Jones and gospel artist, Vickie Winans; and in Dallas, TX with gospel artists Melvin Williams and Lisa Page Brooks.
• 2011 Opening Artist for K & K Mime’s Live DVD recording/gospel mime concert in Dallas, and will be a guest artist in their soon to be released DVD.
• 2011 “Rising Gospel Artist” on the “Cruising For Christ” gospel showcase in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
• 2012 - present Official staff member - K & K Mime’s GMWW Conferences
• 2012 Background mime for K&K Mime, Aug. 2012 in Cozumel,
• 2013 Black Essence Award Nominee and Recipient.
• 2013 to present Visionary and Host, MIME4LIFE Chicago Annual Gospel Mime Conference
• 2016 "Iconic Living Legend" Ministry Award from Dance Ministry Magazine, Orlando, FL

Felicia actively enjoys reading, writing, fitness training, softball, and fine dining. She is very family-oriented and her greatest joys are her 3 sons: Landan-Draake, Jordan-Chase, and Joshua-Blake. She is a staunch supporter for finding a cure for autism and is a team leader during the Annual Walk For Autism - Chicago, Felicia attended Whitney Young Magnet H.S., the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and Governors State University in which she received her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies. Currently, she is working on her first non-fiction novel “From Wounds to Warfare”; an autobiographical testimony of her deliverance and the journey it took to praise Christ through the ministry of dance.
